Dear Forest Ridge Families,

Thank you for all that you do to support our school! We are grateful for your continued partnership, involvement, and the many ways you help make Forest Ridge a wonderful place for our students. Your support makes a difference each and every day!
As we work together to ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process, please take a moment to review the following important reminders:

Parent Pick-Up
  • Please have your car tag clearly visible when entering the Parent Pick-Up line.
  • Please remain in your vehicle. Staff will direct you to pull all the way forward.
  • If you do not have a car tag, you must park and come into the front office with your driver's license or state ID to pick up your child.

Early Dismissals
For safety reasons, students will not be dismissed through the front office after 3:00 PM. If you need to pick up your child early, please arrive before 3:00 PM. After that time, you will need to use the Parent Pick-Up line.

Transportation Changes
  • If your child will have a change in transportation, please send a written note that includes the date of the change, your child's name, and the transportation change.
  • Any transportation changes made during the school day must be emailed to rayb@citrusschools.org no later than 2:30 PM.
  • Emails must include your child's name and the name of the person picking them up.
  • We cannot accept verbal transportation changes over the phone. An email is required.
  • Anyone picking up your child must be listed on the emergency pick-up form in FOCUS and must present a valid driver's license or state ID.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and orderly dismissal process. Your cooperation and partnership are greatly appreciated!

BMX Trickstars

The Forest Ridge PBIS celebration with the “BMX Trickstars” will be held on December 18th, here at FRE.

If students have three or more discipline referrals and 1 or more out-of-school suspensions for the 2nd quarter in FOCUS, they will not be able to attend the event.

Out of Field

Forest Ridge School is proud that all our teachers and administrators who work with our students
are certified by the State of Florida or another governing board. We appreciate the following teachers who
have volunteered to teach a subject outside of their primary certification and are currently taking classes
or exams to obtain certification in the area they are teaching out of field.

Fundraisers

FRE sponsors several fundraisers each year for different purposes. Profits from fundraising at FRE will be used, among other things, to purchase school-wide needs, such as additional playground equipment, technology supplies, and instructional materials. A small amount of these funds may be used to provide food and other consumable items for faculty and staff sessions throughout the year, staff appreciation, and student recognition. Some fundraisers are for specific purposes, such as the Kids Heart Challenge. We are always mindful that these are optional for students and are deeply appreciative of the support of the FRE community.

Fortify FL

Fortify FL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows you to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials. The Fortify FL app is on every iPad at school.

Reporting suspicious activity keeps our community safe, but making false reports is a serious crime. Submitting a hoax tip to law enforcement or reporting tools like FortifyFL will result in severe legal consequences, law enforcement action, and school expulsion.
