Learning Together so we can Stand Alone!

What is Adopt-a-Class?

What is Adopt-A-Class?

At Forest Ridge Elementary, we have an Adopt-A-Class program.  By adopting a class, program or special area at our school and making a tax deductible donation of $100.00 or more.  As a local business or individual you will have the opportunity to make an investment in the future of our students.  All of the monies received will go directly to the class or program.

What does the Adopter Receive?

  • Certificate of membership
  • Thank you letter from the class
  • Thank you letter from our principal
  • Copy of a letter sent home to parents of the class, telling them about their adoptive business partner.
  • Recognition in the school newsletter informing the parents of over 700 children at our school of the business or individuals that have adopted a class.
  • ……and much more throughout the year!!!!

Why Adopt-A-Class?

From a limited budget, a teacher must purchase everything from glue to books!  When a class is adopted this budget is greatly expanded!  This year we would love to see every class or program adopted by a sponsor!  You can help us reach this goal by adopting a class.  The children and their teacher will certainly appreciate your community support.

Who Can Adopt-A-Class?

Any business, organization, or individual can adopt a class or program at Forest Ridge Elementary.  Take a membership form to someone with whom you do business and ask him/her to adopt a class.  Why not grandparents, aunts, uncles, or other family members?  Why not doctor, dentist, beautician, accountant, grocer, banker, car dealer, or restaurant owner?

A membership form is available on our website through this link.  If you have any questions regarding the Adopt-A-Class Program, please contact, Mercedes Rushmore, bookkeeper, (352)527-1808, ext 5007.
