Sunshine State Young Reader Award books 2021-22

                                         

Student Challenge!

There are 15 SSYRA books! This year, for each book students read AND pass the AR test with 70% or higher, they will receive a brag tag for each book they read and pass.

Read 3 books                   Brag Tags, and to be able to vote for the state winner in April

Read 5 books                   Brag Tags, Vote for winner, ice cream with Mrs. Schantz

Read 10 books                 Brag Tags, vote for winner, Ice cream with Mrs. Schantz, and attend school pizza party with Mrs. Schantz

Read all 15 books            SSYRA Brag tags complete with necklace, attend school pizza party, Picture, Certificate, book voucher for the Book Fair

Staff Challenge!

Read 5 books personally              Brag Tags, Extra Free period

Read 10 books personally           Brag Tags, Extra Free period, and Book Voucher for the Book Fair

Accelerated Reader!

Accelerated Reader is a program that promotes reading. All it is, is practicing reading at your level.

Students select books on their level, read them and take a reading practice quiz. Students can have a goal, work toward their goal, and earn points.

You may have books on your shelf at home that are AR books. Check to see by going to AR Bookfinder.
