Volunteers and Mentors

At Forest Ridge Elementary we are always looking for volunteers and mentors.

All volunteers must be trained through the Citrus County School Board and go through a background check.

For Volunteer Questions at Forest Ridge, Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.

All trainings are in the basement conference room at the DSC.

  • A mentor may work with the same child on academic or social issues for more than one year. Volunteers are assigned to a staff member and may work with students, teachers, or do clerical work.

  • At Forest Ridge we do not allow parents or family members to volunteer in their own child's classroom. If you have questions regarding this, please contact Michelle McHugh, principal.
